Parent Involvement at Marion St. Mary

We encourage our families to share their time, talent, and treasure to help make St. Mary an even better school for our learners. All volunteers must take a PGC (Protecting God's Children) class and have a background check on file.

The following are volunteer roles parents may take on at the school:
Lunch and Recess Monitors
Field Trip/Event Chaperone
Tutor/Small Group Assistant
Athletics/Activity Coach

We also have organizations and committees that are in need of parent members:
School Advisory Board
Home and School Organization
Event Planning Committee

All volunteers must have on file a BCI background check and must attend "Protecting God's Children" courses. This is no matter how much or how little contact they have with children or youth, no matter if volunteering for the school or parish, and no matter what time of day or night they volunteer.
