Faith Formation at Marion St. Mary
We believe that our faith should permeate all aspects of the student experience at Marion St. Mary. Just as faith is connected to all aspects of our lives, so should it be connected to all aspects of our school.
Our mission is to form students of diverse backgrounds into young disciples in the image of Christ, together building a foundation of rigorous academics, community service, and moral values in the Catholic tradition. To put it simply, our mission is to prepare our students to become saints, living out God's plan for each of them. Please read below for more information on faith formation at Marion St. Mary. |
Mass: All students in our school attend Mass weekly on Friday mornings. We attend Mass on a different day of the week if there is a holy day of obligation or important feast day.
Prayer: We begin and end every day with prayer, using both traditional Catholic prayers as well as encouraging students to pray in their own way. Faith Formation Time Weekly: Each week we devote 30-60 minutes to a faith activity, whether that be adoration, confession, or the rosary. Roles in the Liturgy: We prepare our young scholars to participate in the life of the church and the liturgy. Children are the readers at Mass, altar servers, and the choir. |
