Preschool Schedule and Calendar
Marion St. Mary Preschool has one program offering:
The preschool program follows the K-8 school calendar, including breaks, conferences, and calamity days. The only difference in the preschool calendar is that the program will end the last week of May, while the K-8 school year continues into June.
2025 - 2026 School Year Tuition
Marion St. Mary School uses Brightwheel to communicate with parents and collect payments for the preschool program. A checking account, savings account, or credit card can be charged on a regular basis. For the 2025-2026 school year, tuition will be $167 per week for 36 weeks, or $6012 for the school year. Families are welcome to set up a weekly or monthly payment plan. We also accept Publicly Funded Childcare (PFCC) payments through Job and Family Services.
Admission Policy
The child must be capable of benefiting from the program offered.
The child must be 4 years of age by Labor Day 2025 for the program. The program is now accepting 4-year-olds only.
The child must have potential to function successfully in a group.
The child must use the toilet independently. Diapers and pull-ups are not permitted to be worn at preschool. There are state regulations regarding the changing and disposing of soiled diapers and our classrooms are not equipped for these requirements. We understand that potty trained children will have accidents, but they should be infrequent.

Families must complete an interview/meeting with the teacher. In order to complete registration, families must complete the FACTS application, the family interview, and pay a one-time $25 registration fee.

Class Size
Marion St. Mary Preschool follows all state guidelines for preschool class sizes. The classroom has a lead teacher and a part-time paraprofessional. The class size maximum for 2025-2026 is 14 children. Meals and Rest Time Preschool children may bring a packed meal or eat the school-provided breakfast and lunch each day. We provide breakfast, lunch, and a snack each in accordance with state guidelines. Marion St. Mary Preschool is required by ODE State Licensing Rules to have a regularly scheduled rest time. The program provides a cot for each student to use. Children may bring a small pillow, blanket, and soft toy for rest time. Parent Communication An open house orientation is planned at the beginning of each school year. Daily contact is made with parents/guardians through our parent communication software and newsletters. Scheduled conferences are held three times a year, and non-scheduled conferences can be held at any time by the request of the parent or teacher. Parents are invited to be active participants in the classroom-- please remember that all volunteers must have completed background checks and complete Protecting God's Children certification. |
